21 December 2011

A thank-you letter from our Afghan partners. We always send them things, which they ask us for. They are there, in Afghanistan, and they know exactly what is needed.

Every book  sent to Afghanistan is accepted by the Afghans. First of all, we send them a list of new books and we wait for the green light – stamps and signatures, which mean acceptance.  Only then the books are shipped.

A few months ago we saved more than thirty pallets of new history and Polish language textbooks, which were to be recycled. They weigh about 30 tonnes. We handed over half of the books to the Polish Committee of Social Help (PKPS) and to the Polish Red Cross. Today the books headed to Polish Red Cross's storehouse in Zgierz. Mr Władysław Frasyniuk organized the transport. Many thanks. Special thanks also to all those who helped during the today's shipment.
